RENEWABLE ENERGY by henri-louis LAMBERT

I: What is renewable energy?

To begin with, renewable energy is inexhaustible or stocks are replenished.
Renewable energy is derived from regular natural phenomena, likethe Sun, but also the Moon and the Earth.
Specifically the four energies that are most known are:
Wind energy, water energy, Solar energy, Geothermal energy.

II:Different renewable energies:
1)Wind energy

The wind turns the blades, which are themselves coupled to a rotor and a generator.
When the wind is strong enough (15km/h minimum), the blades rotate and cause??? the generator that produces electricity.

2)Hydropower:

It's like the wind, but the energy does not come from the wind but the water that drives the turbine.

3)Solar energy:

There are two types of solar energy: photovoltaic and thermal.
Photovoltaic solar energy is electricity generated from solar radiation. Excited by sunlight, electrons are put into motion and produce electricity.
Solar thermal does not produce electricity but the heat with great dark panels in which water circulates, it takes the heat from the sun to heat water.

4)Geothermal:

The principle is to fetch hot water under the earth to recover heat. It can be used to heating and when it is very hot, for production of electricity.
