The Jets
This gang was founded by Tony and Riff, it is also composed of 10 other boys such as Action, Snowboy, Ice and the youngest : Baby John. A girl nicknamed "Anybodys" wants to become a member of the Jets, but the other are kidding her and she is always refused when she wants to help them.
The Sharks
The feuding gang is a crew of P.R. (Puerto Ricans) young men. In the song "America", the Sharks girl says that they have a fantastical life in the U.S.A., but it is not the same for their boyfriends.
