Yiruma - LY Lyliane

Yiruma is a South Korean piano music composer.

He was born on February 15th 1978. He is well-known throughout the world. At 5 years old Yiruma started to learn the piano at home. At the age of 11 he went to England where he studied music at Purcell School (a music school for school-aged children). His albums are actually sold all over Asia, United States and Europe. He is married to Son-Hye-im.
Here are Yiruma and his wife:

His most famous pieces are "River flows in you", "Love me" and "Kiss the rain".
In 2008 fans of Twilight hoped that "River flows in you" would be Bella's lullaby. Unfortunately, The directors have chosen a piece by Carter Burwell.

His main albums are:
_"First love" released in December 2001 in which there are the songs
"Love me" and "River flows in you".
_"From the Yellow room" released in 2003 there is the song "Kiss
the rain".

My favorite song is "River flows in you". It is the most beautiful piece I have ever heard and I think the piece is not boring even if it is just instrumental. Sometimes, his pieces bring tears to my eyes :').
Even if some people do not like his compositions, to my mind, he is the greatest pianist in the world.

Linkin Park, by Emeline Lambert

Linkin Park i an American Rock band, formed in 1996, in California.

This Band is composed of 6 members :
- Chester Bennington (singer)
- Mike Shinoda (guitarist and pianist)
- Brad Delson (guitarist and bassist)
- Rob Bourdon (drummer)
- Joe Hahn (DJ)
- Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bassist)

At the beginning, the band was composed by Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Rob Bourdon, who were friends, and the band was named Xero.
Then, they added Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell and Chester Bennington, and changed their name to Hybrid Theory. But they still could not get a contract. So finally they were renamed Linkin Park, in 1999.

The next year, they released the album Hybrid Theory, and became famous.

In 2003, they released Meteora, and became popular world-wide. The title was inspired by "Meteora", a rocky place in Greece.

In 2006, Linkin Park began writing their third studio album, Minutes to Mignight. They released it in 2007.

Now, they have begun working on their fourth studio album, and it should be finished in 2010.

Linkin Park has sold more than fifty million albums all over the world. They have received a lot of Awards and honors.

Their songs talk mostly about feelings, like love, hate, fear...

Three-dimensional space !

Three-dmensional space is a new technology (a geometric model of the physical universe in which we live. This is a 3D image of the film "Avatar".
The 3D technology was adapted to many films at the cinema and is very pleasing to see.
In my opinion the three dimensional space has a representation of the reality in all its forms. Why not a four-dimensional space in a short future ?

"Lady Chatterley's Lover" by lawrence I have chosen to speak about "Lady Chatterley's lover"which is a novel by an English writer called D.H.Lawrence.This book was written in 1928 but was published only in 1960(it means 30 years after the author's death). It was published very late because the subject was extremely scandalous.Indeed the book is about a woman "Lady Constance Chatterley" who has an affair with another man, from the working class. The book shocked a lot because of the several explicit sexual scenes and more particulary the presence of the word "fuck".The book was adapted many times to the cinema.

presentation Nicolas S.

Blues
The Civil War ended America's slavery era in the 1860s, however life for southern blacks did not improve and many moved North in search of jobs in the big industrial cities. Among these migrants were itinerant guitarists who played Mississippi Delta Blues. Blues was the counterpoint to gospel : when gospel was about salvation, blues was about damnation. As many blacks moved to Chicago's South Side, a new version of Blues evolved that was more electric (the new electric guitar, the addition of bass, drums and piano) than traditional Blues. The road toward Rock music was set.

The Blues by Nicolas S. a presentation

The Blues

The blues is a kind of music, vocal and/or instrumental, which comes from the Afro-American population working while singing . In this new style, the singer expresses sadness and life's hardship. Traces of blues can be found in Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Heavy Metal, Country Music, Soul Music, Musics Pop or variety and even in Classical Music.

The most ancient forms of Blues come from the South of the United States, at the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. These forms were most often oral, sometimes accompanied by a rhythm produced by rudimentary instruments. The first forms of Blues is called "Fife and Drums" played in the Hill Country of Mississippi region.
Then the Blues evolved with more but still simple instruments, such as the acoustical guitar, the piano, the harmonica. The legend tells that one of guitarists, blues men, Robert Johnson, would have signed an alliance with the Devil, which would have allowed him to become a virtuoso ( he was called "Blues Devil" !). Regarding the texts, the Blues consisted at first in often repeating the same verse, two or three times.
Then, the sound evolved and became harder and more physical with the adoption of the new electric guitar, the addition of bass, drums and piano, as well as one or two harmonica(s).

The road toward Rock Music had been set.
