West Side Story: a review by Paul-Antoine Blanc

This is an important scene in the film, at the dance where Tony meets Maria.

At the beginning, the film was quite funny. When they were in the street and they danced each step, it made me laugh. To my mind, they looked a bit ridiculous, because we don't see people walking like this every day. I think the dances were well choreographed and their length astonished me.
In my opinion, the meetings between Tony and Maria are stilted as well as the love scenes. Sometimes, the love songs are insufferable, Maria's voice is too high pitched but some street songs are well built and impressive. I was expecting the death of Tony, because if we know that the film is based on Romeo and Juliet's story, we know the ending. I thought that Maria would killed herself after Tony's death but I was wrong. The scene where Maria is at her balcony looks like the so called Romeo and Juliet's balcony scene where Romeo calls Juliet. The only difference is that the environment is not really the same, in West Side Story it is in a backstreet whereas in Romeo and Juliet, the scene takes place in a marvelous mansion.

The song melodies keep popping up in our heads and it sometimes annoys.
To conclude, I had a good time nonetheless.

RENEWABLE ENERGY by henri-louis LAMBERT

I: What is renewable energy?

To begin with, renewable energy is inexhaustible or stocks are replenished.
Renewable energy is derived from regular natural phenomena, likethe Sun, but also the Moon and the Earth.
Specifically the four energies that are most known are:
Wind energy, water energy, Solar energy, Geothermal energy.

II:Different renewable energies:
1)Wind energy

The wind turns the blades, which are themselves coupled to a rotor and a generator.
When the wind is strong enough (15km/h minimum), the blades rotate and cause??? the generator that produces electricity.

2)Hydropower:

It's like the wind, but the energy does not come from the wind but the water that drives the turbine.

3)Solar energy:

There are two types of solar energy: photovoltaic and thermal.
Photovoltaic solar energy is electricity generated from solar radiation. Excited by sunlight, electrons are put into motion and produce electricity.
Solar thermal does not produce electricity but the heat with great dark panels in which water circulates, it takes the heat from the sun to heat water.

4)Geothermal:

The principle is to fetch hot water under the earth to recover heat. It can be used to heating and when it is very hot, for production of electricity.

Yiruma - LY Lyliane

Yiruma is a South Korean piano music composer.

He was born on February 15th 1978. He is well-known throughout the world. At 5 years old Yiruma started to learn the piano at home. At the age of 11 he went to England where he studied music at Purcell School (a music school for school-aged children). His albums are actually sold all over Asia, United States and Europe. He is married to Son-Hye-im.
Here are Yiruma and his wife:

His most famous pieces are "River flows in you", "Love me" and "Kiss the rain".
In 2008 fans of Twilight hoped that "River flows in you" would be Bella's lullaby. Unfortunately, The directors have chosen a piece by Carter Burwell.

His main albums are:
_"First love" released in December 2001 in which there are the songs
"Love me" and "River flows in you".
_"From the Yellow room" released in 2003 there is the song "Kiss
the rain".

My favorite song is "River flows in you". It is the most beautiful piece I have ever heard and I think the piece is not boring even if it is just instrumental. Sometimes, his pieces bring tears to my eyes :').
Even if some people do not like his compositions, to my mind, he is the greatest pianist in the world.

Three-dimensional space !

Three-dmensional space is a new technology (a geometric model of the physical universe in which we live. This is a 3D image of the film "Avatar".
The 3D technology was adapted to many films at the cinema and is very pleasing to see.
In my opinion the three dimensional space has a representation of the reality in all its forms. Why not a four-dimensional space in a short future ?
